Featured Artist: Clarissa Lega, Producer, Puppet Designer, Artistic Director Wood & Strings Theatre

Wood & Strings Theatre is a national touring company that performs traditional folktales with classic forms of puppetry. Founded in 1988 by Clarissa Lega and Leon Fuller, this company has performed at National Geographic Live in Washington DC, Tribeca PAC in NY and the Detroit Institute of Art on multiple occasions. The cast is made up of four highly trained artists that transform the stage with artistic scenic elements and mask and puppetry work similar to the stylist approach of “Lion King”.  Visit http://www.woodandstrings.net for more details on the productions. This workshop is intended for Teen (7th Grade and Older) and Adult participants only.  

*This Workshop is Free BUT you do need to Register.  Sign up for the workshop at Children/Family Registration desk in the church lobby.

JAM Night at Pump-it-Up!

When:  Sunday, February 20th

Who:  JAM Students     (We love siblings but this event is just for students in JAM.  Thank you.   And…parents, we will have Chaperones so you are welcome to stay or to come back and pick up your student by 7:00 p.m.)

Where:  “Pump-it-Up” in Brentwood   Time:  5:00-7:00 p.m.     

Cost:  $5.00 per student

What to Bring:  Your $5.00, A Party Food to Share, Your Signed Waiver and SOCKS   ~Invite a Friend!

*Waivers and Directions are available at www.pumpitupparty.com   ~Be sure to click on the “Brentwood Location”  We will also have them available at Children/Family Registration starting Feb. 13th.

Next Promotion Date… Sunday, Jan. 30th  for the following ages:

*Children who turn two and a half by January 31st will promote to Live Wires. ~Children should go to their Regular First Steps Class at 9:00 on the 30th.  They will promote to Live Wires during the 9:00 hour and can then be picked up in Live WiresLive Wires offers a Bible Teaching Experience for children during the 9:00 Hour and a Nursery Care Experience during the 10:45 Hour.

**Children who turn four and a half by January 31st will promote to Celebration Station.  ~Children should go to their Regular Live Wires Class at 9:00 on the 30th.  They will promote to Celebration Station during the 9:00 hour and can then be picked up in Celebration Station at the end of the 9:00 Hour.  Celebration Station does not have Programming at 10:45 to give families the opportunity to worship together in the Great Hall at that time.

Upcoming Events Holiday Class Schedule:

 

THIS SUNDAY: 

Special Class Schedule for this Sunday for Celebration Station, Adventure Zone and JAM:

Because the Christmas Festival starts at 11:00 and because we need the extra time to practice for the Christmas Program…Dismissal for these age groups will be 10:55 this Sunday, December 12th. *Adventure Zone children can be picked up in Celebration Station.  We will be rehearsing together in Celebration Station.

Regarding First Steps and Live Wires:  The 2nd Volunteer Teams will be in place at the end of the 9:00 Hour and are available to care for children until the Festival begins.  These teams will remain in place throughout the 10:45 Hour for those that need care for the remainder of the 10:45 Hour.

 

THIS Sunday, December 12th:  Family Christmas Festival!   TICKET SALES ARE NOW CLOSED.  If you have purchased tickets to attend the Festival, please stop by “Christmas Festival Check-in” at the Table located by Room 106 (Adventure Zone) on the East Hall at 11:00 this Sunday to pick up your Program of Events for the Day.  For more information or to find out how you can help, please contact:  Lorie Brawner @ 473-384 or John Holland @ 386-0319.

COATS, COATS, COATS!

Last year, our church family collected numerous coats for men, women and children for Refugees and our Room-in-the-Inn Guests.  We would like to assist with that need this year as well.  Please bring New or Used Coats to the Drop-off Bin at Children/Family Registration throughout the Month of November

*Thank you for being sure that Used Coats are CLEAN and in GOOD CONDITION.*

MISSIONS’ SUNDAY, November 7th! 

Calling All Children in Celebration Station AND Adventure Zone!

November 7th is a Big Day for our church family…Missions’ Sunday.  We would like for the children in Celebration Station AND Adventure Zone to share through music and prayer at BOTH Worship Services in the Great Hall.

Time:  Children need to be in their Classrooms (Celebration Station and Adventure Zone) NO LATER than 8:40.  The Volunteer Teams will take the children to the Great Hall to sing. After they have shared, Volunteers will take them back to Celebration Station and Adventure Zone

**Celebration Station Parents…immediately following the time your children sing, please return to Celebration Station to participate in the “Celebration Station Open House” for the remainder of the 9:00 Hour. 

For the 10:45 Hour, Volunteers will escort your children to the Choir Room.  After the children have shared, they will be brought to the Lobby for you to pick them up.  We would like to encourage you to come back into the Great Hall to participate in the rest of Missions’ Sunday as a family.
